Please be advised that as of October 2007 we are no longer active, as we are a non profit making venture and the bad weather during the 2007 season has caused us to run out of funds.

Hopefully we should be back on track later in 2008.

An Introduction to the Group

The main aims of SkyArt Balloons formally known as the Balloon Preservation Group 'BPG' is to save and preserve balloon envelopes both old and modern.

Situated on the South Coast of England we are well located for travelling throughout the UK and to mainland Europe.

Our ongoing projects involve the restoration to flying condition of some older balloons along with some very much loved and unique special shapes.

The restoration work undertaken is often painstaking and time consuming work but we pride ourselves in being able to bring some of these unique balloons back to life for all to enjoy.

Since forming the BPG in 1993 we have succeeded in restoring 16 balloons back to flying condition and many more to a standard that they are once again able to be inflated at events and balloon festivals in the UK and Europe.

We operate as a purely non-profit making organisation with all donations and fees going towards the upkeep of the collection and also other overheads such as storage facilities and the high insurances required by the authorities.

Many balloons in the collection are available for events so if you think that the sight of some special shapes at your show will enlighten the gathering crowds please contact us for full details and availability.

We are currently taking bookings for the 2008/9 season and our diary is filling up fast!

There are many balloons that have been retired and are out of use, if you are an owner or operator and have any envelopes that are no longer in use perhaps you could help the collection by contacting us with details of the balloons.

Any donations received by the BPG are held by the group and restored where possible.

We are more than happy to arrange collection of any envelopes from both the UK and overseas at no cost to the donor.

As the BPG looks to the future we hope that you can help the group continue to go from strengh to strengh and help us remain at the forefront of balloon preservation and restoration throughout the World.
